In the sub-INR 30,000 price range, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is a cheapest Android phone. Aside from its uninspiring appearance, this is a good phone to consider in this price range. The Galaxy M52 5G is the most premium phone Samsung has ever released in the M series. As a result, it seems more sophisticated to use than the Galaxy A52s 5G, but it foregoes the beautiful appearance in exchange for a lesser price. It outperforms most of its competitors, including the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, iQOO Z5, and Realme GT Master Edition, with a starting price of 24,999. Here's what we thought of the Galaxy M52 5G after roughly a week of use. For the sake of this evaluation, we used the 8GB RAM model.
Design of the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G
This year, Samsung released some attractive midrange phones in the Galaxy A series. As a result, it's disappointing to see Samsung choose for a bland design with questionable build quality. The Galaxy M52, unlike most phones in its class, has an uninteresting plastic structure with dull colors and a garish pattern design. The headphone jack has been removed, and there is only one loudspeaker. It does, however, keep the weight under control at 173 grams, and its small form factor makes it easy to use.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G Display
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G Display Samsung Galaxy M52 5G Display This is where Samsung really shines. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is the best mobile display I've seen in this price range, with vibrant colors, great contrasts, and plenty of brightness; all while running at a refresh rate of 120Hz. This display alone should entice you to get the Galaxy M52 5G if you enjoy watching movies or web series on OTT apps.
Performance of the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G
The Galaxy M52 5G, like other phones at this price, is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 778G processor. Samsung has optimized it for OneUI 3.1, resulting in a seamless experience thus far. The animations are slick, the programs load quickly, and there are no apparent lags — everything feels speedy. OneUI 3.1 is as delightful to use as ever, with bright icons and elements. You have a plethora of features and customization options to choose from. It's worth noting that Samsung preloads a slew of third-party apps, the majority of which may be removed. It's also fun to play games on the Galaxy M52 5G. Games like Call of Duty: Mobile and BGMI are best played on High frame rates with Medium visuals. While gaming for long periods of time, the phone warms up around the cameras, but it never becomes unpleasant. So far, network performance has been good; even in my basement parking, the phone kept connected on the call. The audio quality is clear and loud through the earpiece. Users of Jio can also undertake carrier video calling, with the opportunity to record calls (non-Google dialler recorder). The existence of 11 5G bands bodes well for when 5G arrives in India.
Cameras for the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G
In its pricing category, the Galaxy M52 5G features one of the most well-balanced cameras. The main camera captures accurate color tones and white balance, but boosts saturation somewhat for a unique aesthetic. In daylight, details are good, but in low light, they are lacking. Even in night mode, there are some images that are usable. The 12MP ultrawide camera performs admirably, displaying about the same color science as the primary camera and providing adequate details, but it suffers from noise in low-light circumstances. The 5MP macro camera is adequate, but it lacks the clear details provided by Xiaomi's 5MP macro option. In terms of colors and exposures, video performance is similar, but the lack of OIS makes 4K resolution less stable. The 32MP selfie camera is easily the finest in its category, producing vivid self-portraits with correct skin tones and excellent subject separation in portrait mode images.
Battery for Samsung Galaxy M52 5G
The Galaxy M52 5G is an all-day phone with a 5000mAh battery, and it even has some left over for the next day. The phone was frequently 50% charged by the end of the day in moderate use situations like audio calls, texting, light gaming, and casual social media surfing. Even if you add an hour of gaming and two hours of video watching, you'll still have around a quarter of a battery left. The 15W charger takes an extremely long time to fill up, so I recommend investing in a quicker 25W charger that can complete a full charge in 1.5 hours.
Verdict
With its great user experience, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has left us impressed. It's the easiest phone to suggest around the 250-dollar range, thanks to a nice OneUI experience, a vibrant display, rapid daily performance, and a long battery life. However, the design is uninteresting, and Samsung should have supplied a higher build quality, especially since its main competitor, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE, has a glass back. The lack of a dual speaker and a headphone port are also significant drawbacks, especially because the iQOO Z5 offers both at a lower price. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable Android phone under 250 dollars. If you can get over the phone's dull look, the rest of it is enjoyable to use.
